For the lovers of the small and spineless.

We are a Southern California community of hobbyists, breeders, educators, and the plain curious — united by a fascination with invertebrates, from tarantulas and isopods to snails, mantises, and everything in between.

Who We Are

The Invertebrate Club of Southern California (ICSC) is dedicated to fostering a community of invertebrate enthusiasts, breeders, conservationists, and researchers. Since its founding in 2019, we've grown into one of California's largest amateur invertebrate communities — hosting meetings, collecting trips, educational outreach, and more.

What We Do

Our Work

We bring together invertebrate lovers across Southern California. Our all-ages community draws from the pet hobby, the naturalist space, and the professional entomology and arachnology worlds. Together, we breed, study, and protect the world's smaller majority by:

Connecting Enthusiasts

Linking invertebrate keepers with experienced breeders to share husbandry knowledge.

Educating the Public

Hosting hands-on community outreach events to inspire the next generation.

Driving Conservation

Working alongside professional conservationists and citizen scientists to protect native species.

Field Exploration

Organizing unique trips, nocturnal hikes, and local meetups to observe and study invertebrates in their natural habitats.
